Injuries

Strains:
Grade 1 strain: this is a minor injury also caused by over stretching. There will be mild pain and minimal swelling. There is no discoloration or loss of feeling (L.O.F) and no point tenderness. The recovery process would be 2-4 days of of rest. The pain can be subjective, it all depends on the person.

Grade 2 strain: There is more tissue damage to the injury possibly caused by more pressure to the point of injury. there is increase in redness and discoloration. once again the pain can be subjective but there is more pain then the grade 1. there is L.O.F and point tenderness. recovery process would be a week to a week and a half with icing to keep swelling down

Grade 3 strain: this is a more severe strain. this is caused by extreme pressure to the point of injury causing a tear in the muscle with increase pain. the point tenderness would be increased to which you would not be able to touch it. the swelling will be increased majorly. there will be a lot of discoloration and there will deffinantley be loss of feeling. recovery process would be rest, ice, rehab, and surgery.

Incision: A cut with even edges. It's occured in any surgical procedure. it could occur anywhere possibly only as long as the cut has even edges. for example the wrist cutters, they make even cuts in their wrist's with exacto blades.

Greenstick Fracture: this is a fracture in soft bones when bones tend to bend and partially break.

Spiral Fracture: its a bone fracture in which the bone has been twisted apart.

Serated Fracture: When the two ends of a broken bone are rubbing against each other. This usually causes severe damage to blood vessels and nerves caught between the two broken ends.

Compound Fracture: A fracture in which the bone is sticking through the skin.

Transverse Fracture: A fracture in which the break is across the bone, at a right angle to the long axis of the bone.

Comminuted Fracture: A fracture in which bone is broken, splintered or crushed into a number of pieces.
